We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get started!

Many new members tell us that joining a fitness facility can be both an exciting and intimidating experience. The following are some of the most common questions members ask during their first month or two with us. If you have a question not included here, or want help getting started, simply ask the first staff member you see, email Function Factory or give us a call, 619-487-9032. We are all here to help you.

 

How do I set-up appointments for my first personal training sessions?

Give us a call or stop by our front desk – we try to accommodate everyone by matching your goals and personality with our specialized coaching staff. Your initial appointment will be with one of our fitness coaches and they will help coordinate the scheduling process. Your coach will individualize a program for you, and will tailor the length, frequency and type of workout to your individual needs. To schedule future sessions, you can work with our front desk staff before you leave or give us a call 619-487-9032. Appointments can also be scheduled on a recurring basis. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call as soon as possible so we can reschedule both you and the fitness coach.

 

What do I do when I arrive for a training session?

We recommend that our clients arrive 15 minutes before each appointment.

Upon arrival, let your fitness coach know you are here, fill your own bottle from our cooler or purchase one of our water bottles, grab a towel and start your warm up. If your coach is going to measure you– don’t start your cardio warm up until afterwards. Your fitness coach will let you know when your measurements will be taken.

If you have any questions or concerns, this is also a great time to get those addressed.

 

How do I get a towel when I visit the gym?

Towels are available free of charge – they are on the reception desk, so just grab one when you come in. Be sure to say “hi” to anyone at the front desk! Again, if you have any questions or concerns about any part of your program this is another great time to ask.

 

How do I learn how to use the equipment?

Your first workout appointments will include instruction on all of the equipment needed for your program at this stage. If you have a question about a piece of equipment, please ask any of the staff. We are here to help you!

 

Will the price change on my membership?

RENEWAL GUARANTEE PROGRAM: We guarantee to all members that we will never raise your membership rate so long as you stay current or renew your membership within 30 days of expiration
